Authorised Corporate Services Provider Identity Verification
On October 26, 2023 royal assent was given to the UK Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023 which then became law.
The purpose of the law is to combat financial crime and boost corporate transparency by engaging the following:
- Companies House Reform from a passive recipient of information to an active financial crime combatant and gatekeeper empowered to query, verify, remove or interrogate information
- Failure to Prevent Fraud Offense, Large companies in particular may be found culcable where employees commit financial fraud to the advantage of such company, unless the organisation can provide viable evidence of propert financial controls and prevention of fraud controls are in place.
- Broadened Corporate Liability, directors are no longer the only persons liable in the case of fraudulent activities by the company, senior management may also be subject to prosecution
- Under the Act, Serious Fraud Office [SFO] has more extensive power to investigate and prosecute fraudulent activities engaged by a company
- Identity Verification which mandates all directors, Persons of Significant Control and persons assigned the task of filing on behalf of the Company to be verified before the issuance of a Companies House Personal Code.
Without this code, the obligations of the company such as submitting Confirmation Statements cannot be met.
Our Sister organisation is an Authorised Corporate Services Provider [AP015270] and therefore we are able for a small fee to verify the identity of Directors, Persons of Significant Control and related parties to the company.
How We Work
We obtain the following information from directors and Persons of Significant Influence:
– Full Name
-Date of Birth
-Home Address
-Email Address
We operate an Identity Document Validation Technology software with the verification exercise completed in hours after which a Unique Identifier Companies House Personal Code would be issued to you.
All identity verification requirements needs to be met on time otherwise, you maybe committing an offence. Companies House may prosecute you through the courts to determine a financial penalty and other stringent measures against you.
